The MRP 100 committee has as its mission a focus on the 1910-1913 construction of the Keokuk-Hamilton lock and dam and powerhouse. The committee’s two goals are educating the public and organizing a 100th anniversary celebration of the 1913 dedication.

     The MRP 100 Committee is searching for additional materials for subsequent MRP articles. If anyone has letters or journals from any participant in the construction of the dam or power house. The Committee would appreciate it if they would allow the committee to review those those materials for possible publication.

     Construction work on the traveling dam and power house exhibit will start Monday March 26, 2012 in Hamilton at the garage located at the City Hall, 1010 Broadway Street. Please use the alley to access the building. Someone will be there working from 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm that afternoon. If you would like to help, come any time.
